Default Live Feed (RSS or TXT)

One thing that i know I would find very useful (and probably others, there's no way I'm the only one), would be a live RSS or TXT feed for the latest thread in the anonymous and transparent forums.

Although it could drastically cut down the actual visits themselves to this site, I believe it'd be a great improvement, that would bring a lot of new people to the site. Maybe as an incentive you could make it only available to registered members.

If it's decided to be a good idea, I'd be willing to spearhead the project, though I don't know about a timeline... I'm pretty fluent in PHP, but I don't know the inner-workings of phpBB (I use IPB), and I don't have a lot of experience with XML (but I do have the basics). I'm a quick learner though, and right now all my teachers are on strike so I have a lot of free time.

Thoughts?

It wouldnt take me that long to include my most recent post in an RSS feed. As far as getting the latest forum post into it, that would be a touch more effort. Regardless I do know the basic process of finding the latest post, just not for a specific topic.

If you would like to give it a shot, and create a nice little generic mod, that would be great.

Whether its enough to just put my lists up is more of a discussion point.

I could, and would love to see, a txt feed -list- of working proxies stripped out of the MySQL DB for the forums; that would be HUGEly beneficial to my work.

Like everyone else though, I'm not quite sure about investing the time.
Well, post the word and I (or someone else) might just write the code.
It's for a MySQL DB using PHP_BB.

So it would be: just throw the DB name into a variable and write up the code to scan the message bodies for ips + ports from a particular forum section. Then our good friend Insomniac can set the variable for his DB name, server ip etc, and otherwise apply settings to make it suit him.

Awesome, thanks.

For the record of it, I actually already do something like that. I keep a rather large Database of all the Proxies which have been active over the last five months or so. After dupes have been removed the entire Database only has 45,987 IP's in it at this point. I have been upto around 60,000 at one point.

This site constantly scans the list, and keeps records of which are active at any point in time. As a result, at this particular poin whatever this site gives in its Proxy List is actually the extent of what is active out there give or take twelve hours.

At this point I am more interested in working out a way I can setup a public Socks5 Proxy (no mail, no IRC, no P2P), which will pay for itself. $100/month is roughly what it would take, but hey, its my money I would be spending, not someone elses
