I used to process Proxy lists back when I only had a 28k connect. However I am in the process of developing a new service for people to use which would mean that you would not need anything more than a net conenction and a browser to check lists. No one would have an excuse then

Well the final descision is always mine, but I need to find the time to get some other work done on this new project first before I can take a more indepth look into this.

Please do, but I can tell you one thing, the negative in here will be voted out by majority, we need some kind of a minority here. Because leechers to contributers in here is..... 1:500. based on number of members. As I said, we need a minority so this voting will at least be fair.

I currently check proxies with a 56k connection (usually 28,000bps) -really slow- :lol:
All you really need are good sources to obtain proxies, proxy checker, and some time to kill to check them. I like the idea of a private forum open to poster/people who contribute to the forum. I would post more often knowing that everyone wasn't leeching the proxies.

one of the sites i visit charges to use the forum. he doesnt charge to make money, and he doesnt remove ads, all he does is charge a token amount to seperate out the 'free-rides' and the trouble makers. amazing what a small charge can do to get rid of flamers!.
i think its $5.00 a year. non payers can still access free parts of the forum, but they have no posting rights and cannot access 'premium' discussions.

if you did this, you would get my 5 bucks, and you could keep your ads [they are not bad anyway, i cant even notice them]. i wont stand in the way of an admin making a buck, especially a contributing admin.

one last note, some ppl hate paypal, i do not know why [maybe the constant phishing using paypal as the sender? or perhaps the silly charges which, admittidly, are a little out of whack sometimes for large transfers], but thats what i use and i would prefer it if you made that a payment option.

i dont post lists cz you guys do a good job, but i follow your trends and your discussions with great interest.
