Therein lies the problem.
Working? Most of these don't work for very long and it becomes a major task to keep a list of them current.
Trusted? Who is to judge this and what makes them qualified to do so? What would they know about the owner of such proxies that you don't?
Tunneling & Encryption? Please provide me with a list of those you know and have used that provide this service.

Your ISP doesn't know all when you're using an anonymous proxy. They know only that you have connected to another proxy server and that is the extent of what their logs will show. The proxy server will then log where you go and what you do.
There is no security in the sense you mean it when using any proxy. I mean think about it for a half a second. Who would you trust more with information about yourself ... your ISP whose reputation and business is based primarily on trust ... or the owner of a proxy who you don't actually know anything about?
What I'm pointing out to you here is that it is never a wise decision to use a proxy of any kind when transmitting vital information about yourself. If you must pass this type of information through the internet, do it only through your ISP and not an outside proxy.

It won't be happening here! But for what it's worth, the following site maintains a list of Web and CGI proxies.
Code:

Huh? Care to elaborate on this statement?
By the way, Charon is
