Using Raptor with your proxy lists
This is not so much a tutorial as it is just a quick helpful nugget. I'm sure many are already using this method but I thought I'd share - few thoughts are original in this community. Anyway, Raptor 3 is a fantastic wordlist manipulation and building tool by Madmax. Very easy to find - google is your friend. But I find it very effective for removing duplicates from proxy lists - which can be very detrimental in testng security. You obviously want as many working annons as possible but dups can be recognized by servers and blocked accordingly.
Anyway, since most of us build lists through multiple testing sessions it is very common for duplicates to sneak into your list. And even Charon and aatools miss some of these. Or in my case, I usually fail to run a final tested list through either of those programs since I have already tested it. So a quick effective tool is to load your list into Raptor 3 before using it and use the remove duplicates module. It is fast and efficient and provides very accurate results.
BTW, it is an awesome wordlist tool as well but that is not what we are talking about here.
Anyway. hope this info is useful to someone... somewhere...
