I have been reading up on alot of your info here about proxies.


#1 Are socks and elite proxies the best to use when whanting to hide your ip addy?

#2 When im leeching for proxies.Most lists i get say they are good in Charon.But when i go to use them after the scan.None work.Something im doing wrong?

#3 Whats the biggest amount or proxies you can load into Charon.I load everyones lists here that are posted.Get around 20,000 when checked for duplicates i get about 6500 that arent duplicates.Wondering if this is do too Charon doesnt hold alot at one time and its deleting extras it can not hold.

#4 What proggy can i use to select a web site to leech their proxies to use?

1) Yes Socks and Elite are the best to use.

2) If you are testing them properly in Charon, then they should work fine.

3) That is because most lists are just duplicates, or copies of other peoples lists. Charon has a limit of around 20,000,000 so trust me when I say you arent going to hit it.

4) Leeching is bad, very bad. Consider this, my main list url is normally around 100K in size, I have around 3,000 people each day leech that list without actually coming to my site. That is 300 Megs of bandwidth I am using each day, and 9 Gigs each month people are wasting. Then you include the idiots you releech the list multiple times per day and the number grows to around 15 Gig each month. People who are offering sites such as this one PAY FOR THE BANDWIDTH. This site is not free for me to run, and hence, I do not support automated leeching of lists through stand-alone programs. So quite simply, dont waste my time and money, or anyone elses for that matter.

I completely agree with Insomniac on all points here. On the leeching point especially. I am simply the mod of forums here... not financially involved like Insomniac. But I have supported this forum since the day I found it because it is by and far the best! That being said, consider the relationship of two of your questions: duplicates vs. Leeching. You can run a stand alone leecher for three hours and compile a list of 700,000 proxies. Load them into Charon or any other testing program and the reality is that you have wasted 2 hours and 55 minutes because there are 680,00 duplicates in your list. Of that 20,000 real leeched proxies you will end up with a very small amount of good anonymous proxies. hmmm.... Those good anons are the exact same that we all posted right here for you to use. Seem like a waste of time... It is.

Another question for you though. If you are testing in Charon and they test anonymous.... what program are you using that says that they are not after that...?

That leads to anther stream of thought on this issue. Anonymous proxies are very frail. The life span is less than a freakin fly. So the idea of wasting all of your time leeching is ludicrous. Sorry if that seems opinionated but I've been doing it for a while and the reality is that leeching is simply ineffective.

TY..for the info i have people keep telling me too leech proxies but they dont seem to do anything so i havent tryed in a few months.i mostly jump around sites trying to find lists people have posted and try them out.But im finding that alot of the sites like this one people are posting the same proxies they did here.Reason i asked about how many Charon can hold.

Quite seriously, no matter what you are doing with the Proxies, I can honestly say you only need around 400 which you can get quite easily. Its all in the method you use.
