I just want a better understanding of socks proxies could someone answer my questions.

I read somewhere that http proxies keep a log on your computer and the server that the ip address is from, but socks proxies only keep a log on your computer.If this is true then I don't ever want use http proxies again.

I have acquired a few working socks proxies but I don't know what to do with them.They don't work when I put them in the same place as I put the http proxies. I think you need a special program to get socks proxies working, if so, what are some of the better programs to use?

Socks Proxies can log just asmuch as HTTP, most Socks will log unless they are the result of an infection. The Sock Protocols are diferent than HTTP, therefore either you need to use a program to interpret the diference, or you need the program you wish to use to support Socks. Socks are far more abused than HTTP and for a number of reasons I do not trust them. Fed's are more likely to run a Socks Proxy than a HTTP Proxy as a honeypot.

Could you elaborate on this please, I don't think I have heard about this before.

Im getting a T1 connection soon and I was wondering would this have any adverse affect on proxies (besides faster connection speeds).
What's your opinion on Browser chaining ? does it have more anonymouse capabilites or less. I have been experimenting with it lately.
