im completely new to this site, kind of a newbie to proxies and i have been looking for a working proxy checker, Charon is, by far the best one i have found but it seems that many proxies are getting marked as bad, but i know they are not. I ran them though proxy checker pro 7.0 (By hell Labs) and i got 400 working proxies, but i ran them again and every single one was marked bad, so i came across this site and downloaded Charon, and i am getting about the same results, could it be a setting im missing?

There are a number of reasons this could be happening. Firstly your timeout could be too low, second your thread count could be too high and thirdly your Judge you are using could be crap. Fiddle with these settings till you find one which gives you better results.

how do u lower the sockets (connections) in charon? and i posted the judges from the post someone made into the top of the judge file (whats a judge anyway) and what should i raise the timeout to, it is 20 seconds right now, i think

Edit: I figured out how to adjust the connections, right next to the timeout, im just stupid and didnt see it

Edit again: I tested the judges and used one, works much better, but before it was set in internal judge, could that be messed up and casue the problem with the other test i have?

Correct, I personally dont trust an Internal Judge especially since it forced you to lower the thread count.

ok, it seems to wokr now, i got about 300 good ones out of like 2 thousand, which is usual. it seeems to be working correctly now, and the download link for Charon doesnt work with firefox, i got a can not be found error, works fine with IE though. just to let you know.

Interesting, that shouldnt happen, I will take a look at it later.
