I have been visiting IRC rooms lately.When ever I my real city and country are displayed on the screen even though Im using a high anonymous proxy.Is there anything I can do about this.Thanks for your help.

IRC through a web browser is generally done through a Java client. Because of this the client does not and cannot use the Browsers Proxy settings for any connections it makes. Think of it as a program being run seperate to your browser which connects to IRC. To acheive anonymity you either need to use an open copy of CGI:IRC or use a standalone client which supports Proxies.
