Exclamation Need some tips

I do play a game named EVE Online - a massive multiplayer online roleplaying space game - MMORPG. To play this online game i haveto download an "client" in my computer and after that to play via accessing it from my pc. I changed lately my place to live and i had the surprise to have the internet ports blocked. Most of them.
In conclussion i try to conenct to my game using an port fwd through ssh.
The problem is i cant /dont know how to trick this and to be able to connect to that ip and port from my game.
game ip is 87.237.38.200:26000.
One of my friends gived me this tip:
Assuming you have shell access to a server somewhere or a proxy you can use this method of 2 programs.

Putty - PuTTY Download Page
and
SocksCap - http://www.spszone.com/thirdparty/sc32r234.exe

Step 1: Install Sockscap, Open program and go to file -> settings.
Step 2: Under the tab SOCKS settings, change "socks server" to "localhost" or "127.0.0.1", then change "Port" to "8080".
Step 3: Under Protocal select SOCKS Version 4, userid can be anything.
Step 4: Hit the New button, give the profile a name. Hit browser and select your eveclient wherever you have it stored.
Step 5: Move putty.exe somewhere you will remember.
Step 6: open a command line and nagivate to the location of putty, Enter the following command editing the [] feilds to suit your info.

putty.exe -D 8080 -l [username-on-proxy-if-required] [Server IP]

for example.

c:/putty -D 8080 -l root xx.xx.xx.xx

After that is all setup, Start putty first and login. Start up socksCap and double click the profile you setup earlier.

If you did everything correctly eve will start up and connect.

there are other methods, just google SSH tunnel/free proxy.
----------------
My problem is now is that i still cant find an working proxy, i dont know how to check if it's using user/pass and whats that.
Also i dont know if what he tells me is entire corectly.
All proxyes i have been tried tells me with putty: Network error: connection time out , or network unreacheble.

I think u guys know more then i do. And i need some help in this situation , ofcourse if i dont disturb any of u with my question.
regards,
neusa

You can try to use the Auto Tunnel GG software its easy to use software that does all that automatically.

I believe they have a free trail for 5 days. Check it out to see if it works for you

AutoTunnel GG service - Download to play MapleStory, Cabal Online, GunBound, Silkroad Online, Lineage, Ragnarok from behind firewalls and proxy servers at school or university - free trial available.

Let me know if it works for you
