I remember trying to use proxies a long time ago, but it didn't work.

So, there's this game that I've been itching to play, but the company's blocked all IP addresses outside of Japan from playing. How do I add a proxy, and what are some signs to look for that a proxy is good to use?

I use Windows Vista Premium, and use Mozilla Firefox.

EDIT: I just tried about ten. None of them seemed to work, unless I was setting them up incorrectly. Proxies that were just working seem not to work for me.

You can probably find some web proxies to solve this problem. It would have been a bite easier to perhaps determine this had you mentioned the site in question.

Anyway, try some of these web proxies found at this site (be patient). It could be that you are going to need a web proxy with SSL capabilities.

I'm not sure if you can even use http or socks proxies in this situation, but if you can there are plenty of articles around (on this site as well as the internet in general) to help you with this. Oh, by the way, who told you the proxies were just working?

EDIT: Forgive me, I misread your question to some degree. If the "company" you refer to means the website you wish to visit is blocking all proxies outside of Japan from using it, then you will need to use a proxy which is located in Japan. This means you will need to learn how to test the proxies posted here and find some from Japan. Then enter an anonymous one in your browser.
