Hi There,

I am living in Sweden annd want to listen to live football on BBC radio.

I understand that i can change my ip address to allow me to do this.

I have looked up IP addresses based in uk, gone into internet options and clicked LAN settings and entered the IP, then clicked ok and ok.

Once I have done this I am not able to view the internet.

Can anyone help me, I really want to listed to a game at 3pm UK time today.

Not only have you posted this in the wrong forum (grrrr), you also can't use "color" in headings!

The reason you are having trouble is because you need to use "working anonymous" proxies located in the UK. You can't just take proxies listed here and elsewhere and assume they are good. They need to be retested first.

Proxies die very quickly these days.

It might also be helpful if you posted a list of the proxies you have tried to use for this purpose.

I fully understand that I need to use a working annon proxy in the uk,

Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find working proxys as the ones I have looked at all state they have been tested that day but still dont work.

Didn't you notice where I said, "proxies die very quickly these days"? You need to retest any proxy you find shortly before using it to make sure it is still working and anonymous.

I guess you also didn't notice where I suggested that you post a list of the proxies you've used ... an exact list of them. This could be helpful in determining that you are even using the appropriate type of proxy and that their location is in the UK.

Whats the point of this whole proxy rubbish if someone publishes a list and claims that they have been checked three hours earlier if, in reality they have not and they are not what they say they are.

I am using the correct type and they are in the UK I am not a complete dumnass, can you just suggest a link to descent site with up to date Proxys, I ahave tried about 30 different entries so far.

You originally posted your dumb ass queries in the wrong forum. How much brain power should it for the dumbest of dumb to understand that a section (sub-forum) for only Anonymous HTTP Proxies is not where any questions should be asked?

You were given reasonable answers, problem IS you choose to ignore them and the requests for additional information. When you come to a forum like this, not knowing your ass from a hole in the ground, the prudent thing to do is provide the person trying to assist you with the exact information they ask for. If you had a clue, you wouldn't be asking your questions in the first place.

Please direct me to the the proxy list that claims to have been checked within the last three hours? And, even if that was the claim, did you pay any attention to what time or even day that was? We all know by your past posting mistake that paying attention is not one of your strong suits.

Wish I had $100.00 for each time some idiot said that only to be proven very wrong when they eventually get around to providing the list they used. My guess is you are attempting to use dead proxies, most likely they aren't in the UK, and you could also be using Planetlab/CoDeeN proxies.

Again let me repeat myself ... maybe, just maybe you'll get it. There is no site with up-to-date proxies ... no more so than this one. You still will have to test the proxies to determine their anonymity and location. You have yet to explain just how you are testing them currently, but at this point I could care less. You're are a lost cause. Get lost.
