I am new to this scene, but I have been browsing the help section learning as much as possible.

Anyways after doing extensive searching it seems pretty clear that the codeen/planet-lab proxies are the most reliable/fast/consistent. But there seems to be a problem…

I collected a list of 50 or so codeen proxies then picked 2 at random and compared the ip addresses websites thought I had [http://whatsmyip.org/]. Here are the results:


Using Proxy: 138.23.204.232:3127

My New IP [IP Changed each time I refreshed]:
152.3.138.4
160.36.57.172
129.186.205.76
169.229.50.8
35.9.27.27

Using Proxy: 150.165.15.19:3124

My New IP [IP Changed each time I refreshed]:
152.3.138.4
160.36.57.172
163.221.11.73
206.207.248.35
192.41.135.219

As you can see 2 out of the 5 IPs matched which I was very surprised/disappointed to see. Am I missing something or is this just the way it is with codeen proxies? Is there any way to get unique IPs from each codeen proxy?

Working Planetlab/CoDeeN proxies can, at best, only be used to surf the internet. You cannot transfer or enter any data whatsoever while using them, and they have preset restrictions regarding sites you are not permitted to view ... thus rendering them totally useless in the eyes of most.
