i am using original win xp sp2 with automatic update, i get socks from forums and check them via Proxy Checker then i use them and they work fine, but they work only for 1 or 2 minutes and after 1 or 2 minute these socks go invalid, i know that the life of public proxy may be end at any time but it should not be happen every time and with every proxy.
my window firewall is on, is this due to that or any one tell me whats wrong?

When asking a question like this, it is best to offer as much information as possible. For example, it would be good to include the actually socks proxies you are speaking of.

Additionally, have you tried these socks without using your firewall? Are you at home or office? Which firewall do you have? Have you configured it properly? Are you able to use HTTP proxies through your firewall without disconnect problems?

i used these socks without firewall.
i had window itself firewall.
my configuration setting is ok, i have one paid sock and its working fine with the same setting.
