Although some Online Proxy Checkers are very fast, you need to understand that the information they return, in terms of proxy status, isn't totally reliable. Reason: Because in order to be so fast they rely on information obtained about a given proxy from a prior test of that proxy. Therefore, for example, a proxy that tested anonymous earlier this morning, will be reported as anonymous later in the day as well although in reality it might actually be transparent or dead by then. In other words, the results reported for any given proxy are based on those found between retests, and that time period is generally unknown to the common user.

Online checkers can be good tools to use (as guidelines), just as long as you realize that the information they give could be false. The only somewhat accurate and reliable mass testing of proxy lists can be done with proxy analyzing software that you control. However, you must also keep in mind, that even then the only true status of a proxy can be gained by testing it in your browser against a working, reliable judge at the time of your intended use.
