I have left a message in the Proxyfire forum about a problem I found and someone else responded with the same problem.

Perhaps some people here have had this problem too? Would be nice to nail down why it is happening or if it is happening for everyone...

When using the P-Scan function with more than 1 port it will scan for the same porn as many times as there are ports in the port section. Sounds confusing... If there are 4 ports in the ports section, 80, 8080, 808, 3128 and you hit TCP scan it will loop through the first port on the list 4 times instead of moving on to the next one.

Using the SYN scan doesn't have this problem.

I brought it to their attention in June 2008 and I am still waiting for a fix.

That sounds about right, they aren't very quick in resolving programming issues with Proxyfire. Perhaps because they can't figure it out?

Freeworm likes people to believe he is the author of this program, but I don't believe this is true. The author is someone in China and not very cooperative at times. This is obviously one of those times.

You peaked my interest... I wonder if we can find him posting on a site like elance about needing a proxy scanner made and if a Chinese coder answered the call...

Would fit the profile for what is going on.

Try using Angry IP Scanner (v2), Its light and very fast scanner, The down side is you can scan only 1 range per scan, You cant queue other ranges for later scanning, But its fast as hell, If you need any help with the settings or anything PM me.
