Connect with programs through HTTP proxy

Hello all,
I have a http proxy set up at my school. I would like to connect to the internet using programs such as aim. I do not have a direct connection to the internet and the windows xp firewall is enabled.
any help?

You would need to use HTTPort to chain the school proxy to a port 80 SSL proxy.

i have http port now how do i chain it to another proxy
