Default help with proxy for a macintosh (sorry - I' a newbie)

I live in thailand, and over 800,000 websites have been blocked in the last month...

I have heard that I downloading a 'proxy' will allow me to view the blocked sites, but have no idea how to go about it....
If any of you nice people would give me some advice on how to go about this, it would be greatly appreciated..(in laymans terms please ops: )

I use a macintosh computer, so I presume there is a proxy thingy for macs which I need? ops:

Thanks in advance

Your browser (Safari or Internet Explorer) has Proxy support already. If you look through your help file you should be able to find how to set a Proxy. Then grab some Proxies, put them in your browser, and voila, it should allow you to visit wherever you like.

Please note I am not a Mac user, and its a long time since I had to set a Proxy in Safari so I am not the best person to ask about specifics.

A Proxy is an address alongside a port. They normally look something like 161.15.4.63:8080. Look for them on this Forum, they are quite easy to find. TAke note that they die off regularly so you will have to change them often.
