Default favourite ports

I would like to hear, which are your preferite ports when scanning for HTTP and SOCKS proxies.

I have most success on port 80 for http and 1080 for socks.

One very good method to determine favorite ports, is to study the proxy lists posted here and see which ports are the most popular.

Port 80 for http and 1080 for SOCKS is the most common.
I am curious about "odd" ports with some high numbers, how people can find them. I don't believe people scan all possible ranges or am I wrong?

80,8080, and 1080 have always been the best for me.

As I said, this is a stupid question and thread. Why I left it goes without explanation.

Simply browse through the proxy lists posted here (and elsewhere) and note the "ports". Common sense would indicate that the ports you find in there lists would be "favorites".

By the way vectro those ports work for socks and http proxies. Next time you find a list of them for socks proxies, also test them for http.
