If you don't use Charon to test proxies, what do you use?

Yeah, i told a small fib. I have resolved proxies in the past. Here is my conclusion. Yes the hostname filter for the (".edu"/".k12"/"mil"/"gov") ect, does help a lot and i do use it. I use it after i use the other ones posted above. I thought about this for a while and came to the conclusion that less is more as you suggested in most cases. However i do use the above filters all the time, because i load large lists into charon (10,000 - 20,000 proxies). I then can filter sometimes over 1,000 proxies out even before i resolve them. Saying that, that does save me a lot of time when i do resolve them after i filter them with above lists. I then filter them again after i resolve them, and catch a few more with the hostname filter.

By the way, currently im on a 56k connection, and it sometimes takes 10-20 minutes to resolve a large list of proxies.
I use AAtools 5.80 to check my proxies, as you can see some of my proxy posts inside the "Anonymous Filtered Proxies" Section.

So maybee some might find this useful, if not oh well. I use them constantly.
