Sorry, I'll try to explain better. I have been using a router for my home computer for the past year or so. I switched my connection from using a router with my computer to connecting my computer straight to my cable modem.

Then, today, I tried scanning for proxies on my computer using the connection directly from my modem. However, whenever I scan about 50 sockets or more, my connection will drop. In other words, I can't open google.com or yahoo.com using FireFox after 10 seconds of scanning at that speed. I can scan at 5 or 10 sockets.

I downloaded the patch from lvllord.de and changed the maximum number of open connections to 5000 or so and it still drops me at 50. I restarted my computer like it says.
