This is actually an issue alot of people have with DSL modems. There are two things which could be occuring, first what happens is your modems RIP table fills up too far without being purged, second your connection is unable to handle the ammount of open connections Charon leaves open for checking. The simple solution is to simply decrease the speed at which you are checking and increate timeouts. Otherwise you could just be more selective about where you leech from. Out of the easily leechable 40,000 Proxies you could retreive at any point in time, only around 1% would be active. So the simple solution is to go through a few trusted Proxy boards, dupe check the list, and then check the result.
